Your Workflows Just Got Eyes, a Paintbrush, and Better Manners

September 07, 2026

It's been a busy week over here. Your Cycl Sales workflows just leveled up in a big way, your missed-call texts got a lot more reliable, and a few things behind the scenes got tidier. Grab a coffee and let's walk through it. ☕

🎨 Your Workflows Can Now Draw

You can now generate an image right inside a workflow. Add the new AI Image Generation action, give it a prompt, and it hands back a finished image at a public URL you can use in the very next step.

Here's what makes it flexible:

  • Four models to choose from, so you can pick the look that fits.
  • Prompts that write themselves — pull the prompt from a contact field, a webhook, or an earlier step instead of typing it every time.
  • Enhance Prompt — turn a three-word idea into a detailed prompt with one click.
  • Ready-made templates for product mockups, social posts, promo flyers, and lifestyle shots.
  • Quality control — Auto, High, Medium, or Low, depending on how polished you need it.
  • Brand control — apply your Design Kit and Brand Voice so the output actually looks like you.

Every image lands in Media Storage automatically and hands off an Image URL to whatever step comes next — attach it to an email, drop it in a text, or post it straight to social.

👀 Your Workflows Can Also See

Not to be outdone, there's a new AI Analyze Image action too. Feed it an image URL and a question, and it reads the image back to you in plain text.

A few ways people are already using it:

  • Pulling text off a receipt, invoice, or screenshot automatically.
  • Getting a plain-English description of what's actually in a photo.
  • Choosing a detail level — High for tiny text, Low when you just need a quick read.

Whatever it reads back can be saved to a custom field, sent in an email or text, or passed along to another action. One heads up: the image has to be public — a direct link, not a page it's buried in. Anything already sitting in Media Storage is good to go.

🚦 Clearer Colors for Workflow Values

If you build workflows, you know the little "chips" that show up when you drop in a dynamic value. They used to only be blue (good) or red (broken) — which meant plenty of chips turned red even when nothing was actually wrong.

Now there's a third color in the mix, so the chips actually tell you something useful:

  • Blue — this workflow can fill the value in. All good.
  • Yellow — the value is real, it just doesn't have a source in this particular workflow. It might still work if another workflow passes it in.
  • Red — the value doesn't exist anywhere. That's a typo worth fixing.

Small change, but it means a red chip actually means "fix this" instead of "maybe fix this, who knows."

📞 Missed Call Text Back Just Got Smarter

Here's a real annoyance we finally fixed: Missed Call Text Back used to always try to text back from the exact number your customer called — even if that number couldn't send texts at all. Result? Your follow-up text just... never showed up. Not great.

Now, if the number that got the call can't send SMS, Cycl Sales automatically looks for the next best option in this order:

  1. A number you've successfully texted this contact from before.
  2. Your default outbound number.
  3. Any other eligible messaging number on the account.

This matters most with call tracking numbers, number pools, and unverified toll-free numbers — the numbers most likely to be call-only. Your customer might notice the text comes from a slightly different number than the one they dialed, and that's on purpose. A follow-up that actually arrives beats a "perfect" one that doesn't.

🔑 Client Portal Logins Now Trigger Workflows

If your team uses the newer Client Portal experience, workflows can finally react to it. The "User login" trigger now fires for Client Portal logins, not just the old-school membership logins.

If you're already using that trigger, nothing to do — it just starts covering the new logins too. There's also a new "Client Portal" category in the trigger picker, so that trigger and the file-upload trigger both live in one obvious place instead of being scattered under Courses and Membership.

📄 Toll-Free Verification Needs Two New Links

Quick compliance note before it bites you: toll-free verification submissions now ask for a Privacy Policy URL and a Terms & Conditions URL. Starting September 15, 2026, carriers will reject any new submission missing either one.

New Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions URL fields on the toll-free verification form

Both fields already live on Step 3 of the form, right under your opt-in workflow images, and they're required before you can submit. If a number is already verified, you're in the clear — no action needed there. But if you're submitting a new toll-free number, grab those two links before you start so the submission doesn't bounce back.

That's a Wrap

Between workflows that can now see and draw, texts that actually land, and a couple of quality-of-life fixes, it was a solid week. As always, none of this needs a single setting flipped on your end unless we said so above — it's already live. See you next week! 👋
